Introduction

Mulberry House Clinic occupies a refurbished wing of Great Addington Manor, a historic building now home to a growing aesthetic practice. Across X treatment rooms, consultation spaces, and reception areas, Baulogic provides the full lighting and heating control layer: DALI-driven, scene-based, and tuned to how a clinic actually runs from morning arrival to evening close.

The result is a space that feels considered the moment staff walk in, and stays that way through every appointment of the day. Lighting shifts in colour temperature and brightness to match the clinical task. Heating warms the rooms in use and holds the rest at a sensible baseline. The building manages itself.

The Brief

Aesthetic clinics live and die by atmosphere. Clients arrive expecting a space that feels calm, considered, and far removed from the harsh strip-lit experience of a typical medical environment. Staff, meanwhile, need clinical-grade light when they're working on a procedure and warm, flattering tones when they're consulting.

The owner of Mulberry House wanted a clinic that felt premium from the first step through the door, supported the work happening inside each treatment room, and didn't depend on staff remembering to flip the right switches between clients. They also wanted the building to look after itself outside of opening hours, with no lights left on overnight and no rooms heating empty air.

Most commercial fit-outs settle for whatever lighting and controls the spec sheet allows. The businesses operating inside them feel the difference every single day, in staff comfort, client experience, and the energy bills at the end of the quarter. Mulberry House wanted to start from a different brief.

Our solution

Baulogic delivered a DALI lighting control system across the clinic, paired with zoned heating control and a layer of automated scenes that shift the environment throughout the day.

Circadian rhythm lighting, in practice. Baulogic smart events automatically adjust colour temperature and brightness in line with the time of day:

  • Soft, warm lighting and gentle heating in the morning, ready for the first arrivals
  • Brighter, daylight-matched tones at midday for focused clinical work
  • A mellow wind-down scene that closes the building down at night

The space supports staff energy and client comfort without anyone touching a switch.

Treatment rooms calibrated individually. Every treatment room has its own dedicated lighting controls, calibrated to the work that happens within it. A consultation room is set up for conversation. A procedure room is set up for precision. The scenes are built around how the clinic actually operates.

Heating that follows occupancy logic. The Baulogic control system monitors and controls the temperature of every room in the clinic. Rooms scheduled for use through the day are boosted to perfect comfort levels ahead of arrival. Rooms sitting unused are held at a casual baseline temperature. Nothing is wasted, and nothing is cold when a client walks in.

A building that closes itself down. At the end of the day, a single closing scene takes the clinic from operating mode to overnight. Staff stop worrying about lights left on, rooms left heating, or anything left running that shouldn't be. The building handles it.

The space feels more considered without any manual adjustment. Mulberry House gets the atmosphere of a premium clinic, the operational ease of a system that runs itself, and the energy efficiency that comes from heating and lighting only what's actually being used.

Hear from our client

First impressions matter in aesthetics, and Baulogic gives us a clinic that feels considered from the moment a client steps through the door. The lighting flatters, the rooms are warm, and the atmosphere shifts naturally through the day. Our team isn't fiddling with controls between appointments, which means more time and attention on the client.
