Where many home automation systems depend on a single manufacturer’s hardware, cloud infrastructure, or proprietary app ecosystem, Baulogic is built on KNX, the international open standard for building automation. KNX has been in continuous development since 1990 and is supported by more than 500 manufacturers and 8,000 certified products worldwide. The same protocol runs on Westminster government buildings, the Burj Khalifa, and luxury residences from Mayfair to Monaco.

Open standard, not proprietary

Systems like Control4 lock developers and homeowners into a single vendor’s product line. If Control4 changes its dealer network, discontinues a product, or changes its pricing, your homes are affected. Baulogic homes run on KNX, which means any KNX-certified installer anywhere in the world can service the system, now and in twenty years.

Offline by design

Crestron, Control4, and most wireless platforms depend on stable internet to function reliably. Baulogic runs offline. Lights, heating, and blinds work without a router, without a cloud server, and without an active subscription. If the internet goes down, the home doesn’t.

No obsolescence cycle

Loxone and other proprietary systems require periodic hardware upgrades to remain supported. KNX hardware installed in 1995 still works on KNX systems installed today.
