Last year, Baulogic were approached by UK based clients looking to install essential home control into their holiday rental in France.

As the property will be used by both the family and paying guests, it was vital to find a system that is simple and effective.

The client’s main requirement is to have temperature remote control of the heating and hot water, this will enable them to ensure a perfect temperature and plentiful hot water upon guest arrival and dial it back once they have departed.

Baulogic will effectively manage the property’s air source heat pump, which drives the wet underfloor heating system and on demand hot water. The system will also control lights, external electric shutters and security via motion sensors and security cameras. All of which can be operated while in the property using wall switches and a touch screen or remotely via the app on a phone or tablet.

In addition, the client will be notified if smoke detectors are activated, particularly crucial due to the wooden cladding in the house.

On this occasion access control via smart door locks have not been specified, but this is a great addition for second homes and holiday homes as owners, cleaners and guests can be issued with QR or numeric codes with fixed or indefinite authority for access.
